Exercise should be fun, not boring- which is why we use kettlebells and other enjoyable exercises to further boost your results on the programme.

Classes run alongside the Brighton Kettlebells classes which are at two locations in Brighton & Hove.

All we ask is that you attend at least three classes a week, one of which must be the Monday class (7.30pm at Varndean School, Brighton).

We mainly use Kettlebells to train with due to their versatility and time-proven effectiveness.

What are Kettlebells?

The biggest things to hit the fitness industry, Kettlebells are creating major-hype in the U.S. Now they’re taking the U.K by storm, with many celebrities and sportsmen touting their effectiveness for getting them in shape and increasing fitness – Jennifer Lopez, Matthew McConaughey, Gerri Halliwell and Penelope Cruz to name but a few.

They look like an iron ball, with a handle on the top...hence the name: Kettlebell!

Why should I use them?

The style of training used with the Kettlebell teaches us how to use our bodies better, as one unit. All the moves are ground-based, and get you back on your feet, away from machines or benches. Because you are using so many muscle groups, the energy demands of kettlebell exercises are much greater than conventional gym exercises.

Are Kettlebells right for me?

Kettlebell training is one of the most effective and exciting ways to train. It will burn fat; make you very fit, flexible and super-strong. We work safely and ensure you use correct technique. Many are discovering this exciting training tool, and now we want to share it with you!

Will it be too heavy or hard for me?

Not at all! We have a range of sizes to use, starting at 4kg, so all abilities are catered for. We have people of all ages coming to our classes from 15 year olds to people in their late 50′s!

Will they make my muscles grow?

The workouts we do focus on fat burning and improving your aerobic fitness. If your goal is to grow muscle, we can adapt your training to suit. Expect a lean, toned physique.

Whats involved in a class?

All our classes are 1 hour long. We don’t only use Kettlebells in classes. The first part of the class will be a light warm up, using just bodyweight, functional training movements and yoga poses. We then work on some technique so you learn a new move each session. After this we work in pairs, using Kettlebells as well as other training toys like bands, ropes and bodyweight movements like squats and lunges for an exciting and exhilarating workout!

How many people are in a class?

Classes are not too big, with around 12-20 people in a class.

How many calories can I expect to burn in a class?

This really depends on the individual and how intensely they train. Anything between 500-1000 calories can be burnt in our classes. Furthermore, your metabolism will be boosted for the next 36 hours, so you’ll continue to burn calories when you go home!

What if I can't attend three training classes a week?

You can either top up your training by having Personal training sessions with Christian, or ensure you train yourself in your own time.
