About the trainer

Christian Vila founded the Kettlebell Bootcamps nine years ago, which now has three bootcamps each year, running alongside the popular Brighton Kettlebells classes which has five classes a week at two locations in Brighton & Hove.


Christian has been in the health & fitness industry since 1998. He has a passion for training and helping others achieve their fitness goals. After graduating with a BA (Hons) Sports Science, he has had the best training in this industry possible, leading to a level 3 Personal Training qualification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).

He discovered Kettlebell training six years ago, and believes this is one of the most powerful training tools available. He trains with Kettlebells at least three times a week, alongside running, weight lifting, Brazilian JiuJitsu, Paddleboarding and cycling.

Having trained under Steve Cotter, Angie Dowds and Mike Mahler, Christian has attained the best qualifications in Kettlebell training, including the IKFF CKT.

Christian has gone on to specialise in Strength & Conditioning of combat athletes under the Combat Ready Training banner, taking top UK Heavyweight fighter Oli Thompson to peak fitness at his UFC bouts.

Christian is a regular contributor to Mens Fitness magazine and has featured in various industry publications.
